Gondwana Collection Namibia’s Online Booking Platform

The Challenge

Sustainable hospitality business, Gondwana approached Realm Digital to rebuild its website. Gondwana wanted to create an interactive website that allowed users to plan and book the ultimate Namibian trip, comprising various accommodation and safari packages, within a single session. The project required a complete website redesign.

The Solution

Realm Digital used reservations software integration, Innkeeper, enabling Gondwana to sync the availability of all 23 Namibian lodges into one single system. Realm considered the user journey, carefully optimising for user engagement and efficiency. As such, we utilised the maps API and distance matrix API, ensuring users can calculate drive time between lodges and plan their itinerary accordingly. On the front end, Angular helped build an interactive interface that draws inspiration from the Namibian landscape and entices users to visit.

The rebuild has ensured The Gondwana Collection is one of the first hospitality brands to integrate a booking system and a custom-built eCommerce shopping cart function, into a fully adaptive website.
