How Pype and Realm fit together

Pype was born inside Realm Digital. Over the years Realm hired, mentored and led a great many engineers for its own software projects, and learned what a slow hire costs and what a strong one makes possible. Pype was set up to give other companies the same advantage.

Pype has its own team, based in Cape Town, so talent enquiries go directly to Pype. If you would rather hand over a whole project, Realm’s software team can scope, build and support it.

What Pype offers

Six ways to add the right people to your team, and when each one fits.

Staff augmentation Engineers and specialists added to your team, working to your processes. A sprint, a launch or a skills gap, for weeks or a year.
Dedicated development teams A standing team with defined roles, set up around a product or programme. Ongoing product work without building a team from scratch.
Permanent recruitment Direct hires for long-term roles, matched on technical depth and fit. Roles you want to own for the long term.
Nearshore development from South Africa Engineers in Cape Town, working in a time zone close to the UK and Europe. UK and European teams that want more capacity without a local entity.
Talent strategy Workforce planning and help deciding which roles to fill, and how. Growing teams planning their next hires.
Fractional CTO Part-time technical leadership for direction, hiring and delivery oversight. Businesses that need senior technical direction, but not a full-time CTO.

Why Pype

What Pype believes Pype
  1. Vetted in, not screened out.

Pype looks for the best candidates, not only the absence of red flags. Every engineer clears a technical and culture bar before you meet them.

  2. Builders judging builders.

Candidates are assessed the way a software team assesses a new colleague: on architecture, rigour and delivery.

  3. It starts with your problem.

The brief begins with what you are building and where it hurts. The right model follows from that.

  4. Partners, not a CV pipeline.

Pype stays close after placement, because fit and retention matter more than filled seats.
