Property24 Clicks for Bricks Facebook App

Property24.com in partnership with Habitat for Humanity South Africa, launched a ‘Clicks for Bricks’ campaign, a social investment initiative aimed at raising awareness around the country’s housing shortage.

The Brief

Property24.com needed a Facebook application to measure their ‘Clicks for Bricks’ social project. For every ‘like’ on their Facebook Page they sponsored R5. Once 18,200 fans were reached and R91 000 was generated, Property24 would build a home.

The Solution

Realm Digital designed and developed an interactive Facebook Application that could record user engagement in real-time. The growth of fans was tracked by a “Property24 fan meter”, which looked like a measuring tape and simultaneously grew as the number of fans did. Above the meter, Realm included an illustration of the house that would be built. As user engagement increased, the house was built; beginning at the foundations, to the walls and finally the roof.

The campaign was hugely successful for Property24. In addition to growing their online social media presence and sponsoring a house, they were applauded by the Western Cape Government for bringing attention to South Africa’s housing crisis. featured exhibitors and authors prioritised user flow.
