Tabbs needed a development partner who could take ownership of their mobile payment app and keep improving it. Realm delivered across three focused phases and established an ongoing development relationship.

01The situation
Tabbs is a mobile app that allows for online, mobile and in-person payments. Customers pay by scanning the QR code at the till, on their bill, at their restaurant table or via a POS screen.
It’s a complete payment solution for restaurants that includes itemized billing, QR menus and dashboard reporting and more. This feature-rich mobile app accepts payments anywhere and includes management tools to help grow
your business.
02The approach
The project was approached in phases, with the first phase focused on updating the pre-existing Tabbs application. Updates included optimizing images, adding portrait views, and payment device integration.
The second phase concentrated on UI improvements and adding the Quick Sale feature, which required new payment API integration. Improvements to the sign-up page, scroll-on-cart functionality, and offline mode capabilities were prioritised.
The goal of the third phase was to ensure the App could be used offline. This would enable users to process transactions without data or a stable internet connection.
The application enhancements have enabled users to process payments anytime, anywhere. Realm has established an ongoing Development Team that can support Tabbs’s innovations moving forward.
